Luis Ángel Martínez Fajardo, alias Pollo, el líder de una organización narco encarcelado en Nicaragua, es el principal sospechoso del homicidio de otro delincuente, Erwin Guido Toruño, El Gringo.
Así lo asegura el ministro de Seguridad, Gustavo Mata, luego de evaluar el contenido de un video que circula en redes sociales.
"Queda muy evidenciado en un video que está circulando en las redes, donde se observa que están asesinando a El Gringo, quien era el líder de otra agrupación criminal, donde indican que eso es porque Pollo lo mandó a ejecutar", detalló Mata ante consulta de La Nación.
Guido Toruño fue asesinado el pasado 16 de diciembre de múltiples puñaladas. Además, presentaba varios golpes y signos de tortura. Su cuerpo fue hallado a un lado del puente sobre el río Torres, en el Bajo Los Ledezma, en La Uruca.
El Gringo y el Pollo (quien coordinaba acciones desde Nicaragua), se disputaban el tráfico y comercialización de estupefacientes en territorios al sur de San José.
Cuando ocurrió el crimen, El Gringo era el individuo más buscado por la Policía, ya que se le vinculaba con al menos diez asesinatos ocurridos en los últimos meses en nuestro país.
Los últimos dos ocurrieron el 13 de diciembre, cuando dos sujetos fueron ejecutados en Belén y descubiertos dentro de una microbús en La Sabana.
Las víctimas fueron identificadas como Frank Alfaro Murillo, un costarricense de 26 años y Eduard Bedoya Llanos, un colombiano fue asfixiado y mutilado.
Sin embargo, al consultarle a Mata sobre la relación entre los fallecidos y el Pollo, el jerarca afirmó que "no hay vínculos, está el caso en investigación".
El Ministro agregó que el Organismo de Investigación Judicial (OIJ) tiene el video del crimen y está desarrollando las indagaciones pertinentes.
Por su parte, la Policía Judicial informó de que el caso permanece en investigación. Incluso, el martes, en conferencia de prensa, Michael Soto, director a. i. de ese cuerpo policial, dijo que avanzan en la pesquisa.
"Estamos realizando la investigación, creo que tenemos un norte adecuado", expresó Soto.
Desde enero del 2017, las autoridades policiales comenzaron a hablar de El Gringo como uno de los líderes de las bandas que disputan la venta de drogas en Pavas, luego de que fue condenado el grupo de Marco Antonio Zamora, conocido como El Indio y de la captura de varios ayudantes de otra organización comandada por el Pollo.
Reunión con autoridades nicas
De acuerdo con Gustavo Mata, en los próximos días se reunirá con su homólogo de Nicaragua para conversar sobre los hechos que están ocurriendo en nuestro país. Según Mata, Martínez tiene comunicación telefónica con los miembros de su banda en Costa Rica, desde la cárcel La Modelo, en Managua, Nicaragua.
"Se tiene plenamente demostrado que este sujeto es el líder de una de las organizaciones criminales que tiene aquí (en Costa Rica) el mercado de la venta de narcóticos, en este caso cocaína, crack y marihuana.
"También, se tiene claro, por inteligencia y por toda la información que se recibe constantemente por parte de nuestros oficiales, que este sujeto, aparte del manejo de la venta de estupefacientes aquí en Costa Rica, se presume de que también está dando órdenes de matar a gente en Costa Rica de bandas o agrupaciones rivales", manifestó Mata.
He pedido a autoridades de Nicaragua tomar medidas contra presidiario conocido como “Pollo” para evitar que gire órdenes y mande a matar rivales desde su celda en Managua.
Pollo descuenta, desde el 2015, una pena de 18 años por el delito de tráfico internacional de drogas y 12 años por crimen organizado y esta no es la primera vez que se detecta que da órdenes desde su celda para que se ejecuten acciones en el país.
En marzo del año pasado, las autoridades asestaron un fuerte golpe a la banda de Martínez por segunda vez en dos años y, en esa ocasión detectaron que daba órdenes desde un celular.
